In 2022 I created a floating canopy of interlocking leaves for a new casino in the Catskills. The process of creating this piece took me on long leaf collecting walks in the Hudson Valley, on a supply-chain hampered search for a place to cut acyrlic sheets at the scale I needed for the parts, and a lot of paper prototyping and experiments with hanging structures. This piece was only fully realized on site at the Resorts World Casino in Newburgh, NY. If you visit, please post a photo on your favorite platform and tag me!
The surreal atmosphere of the casino before it opened. The ceiling image is by another local artist, and Nine Dot Arts did a great job of facilitating the whole giant production.
